The Neurosurgical Associates of Lubbock Hydrotherapy Center houses three Hydroworx pools. The Hydroworx PolarPlunge
and ThermalPlunge pools are 14 ft. long and 7.5 ft. wide. The PolarPlunge pool is kept at a constant 50 degrees
to help control joint inflammation and enhance muscle recovery. The Thermal pool is kept a constant 102 degrees
to relax tight muscles and stimulate the release of endorphins. The ThermalPlunge unit also has a powerful massage hose
that easily attaches for specific deep tissue therapy.
The Hydroworx 2000 pool is the focal point of our new facility. The Hydroworx 2000 has an integrated underwater treadmill
that can hold up to four players or 1,000 pounds and can go to six feet deep. The treadmill surface has a cushioned, low-impact
surface with excellent traction. The treadmill speeds smoothly up to 8.5 miles an hour. The Hydroworx 2000 comes with
two (2) powerful underwater jets to give added resistance to the individuals training or rehabilitation workout. The
Hydroworx 2000 also has two (2) underwater cameras that show two views so that the athlete can watch their aquatic
workout for immediate feedback. It also has the massage hose attachment for specific deep tissue therapy. The Hydroworx
2000 is kept at a constant 90 degrees for a comfortable training or rehabilitation session.
