2007 OUTDOOR:Competed in four events ... set personal bests in all four events ... ran a 2:13.20 in the 800M at the TCU Invite ... clocked a 10:05.67 in the 3000M at the Jim Click Shootout ... ran a 4:33.27 in the 1500M at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational ... clocked a 17:17.91 in the 5000M at the Mt. SAC Relays. 2007 INDOOR: Competed in four events in her first year of competition ... ran a time of 3:02.28 in the 1000M a personal best and good for 13th at the Big 12 Championships ... at the Tyson Invite set two personal records, one in the mile with a time of 5:07.67 and the other came in the 3000M with a time of 10:09.02 ... helped the DMR set a school record and win the Big 12 Championship with a time of 11:18.97. HIGH SCHOOL: Participated in track, hockey and soccer... made it to the Nationals for the 2004 Olympics... received honors in high school for track competitions... finished second in provincial hockey competition. PERSONAL: Born Sept. 30, 1986, to Richard and Ednah Kipsang... has four siblings Francisca, 24; Laban, 22; and Nickson, 16 and the late Ben... hobbies include traveling, playing soccer and hockey, and meeting new friends... majoring in pre-nursing... goals include saving lives. |
