Posted his best overall score of the spring in the same event by shooting a four-under par. After participating in eight events, Will finished third on the team in scoring average by carding an average of 73.87 per round... Posted the second lowest average score of those players participating in more than two events... Best finish was a tie for seventh at the National Invitational.

Fall 2006 (Freshman):
In his first year as a Red Raider, Griffin competed in five fall tournaments with a season stroke average of 74.00... In the fourth tournament of the season, he placed the highest for Tech in the Jerry Pate National tournament where he tied for second with a three-round combined score of 201, 12-under-par... Fired a 9-under 62 in the second round to break the school record by two shots... 54-hole score of 201 also broke the school record, which was a 202 shot by Mark Allen in 1989... Placed 30th at the International Collegiate Tournament turning in a scorecard of 222.

Named a 2006 AJGA All-American... Tallied six AJGA Top 10s... Finished first at the Valero Texas Open in 2006... Finished second at the AHGA OSSO in 2005...
